Alulim Pharma, Inc., an aerosol therapeutics company, emerged with a seasoned team and a robust portfolio of pre-clinical and clinical data, along with existing intellectual property protection. Alulim's proven platform technology allows drugs, both water-soluble and insoluble, to be uniquely and safely deposited throughout the respiratory tract, in contrast to newer and unproven platforms. The key benefits of decreased toxicity and more rapid targeted drug distribution to treat cancers, asthma, organ transplantation and various infections have already been demonstrated.

Alulim takes advantage of over 25 years of team experience in the aerosol delivery, clinical application, and translational medicine fields. The company brings together veterans of the Baylor College of Medicine and the Methodist Hospital at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Alulim Medical Board Chairman, Dr. George P Noon, remarked, "I am extremely pleased to be working with Alulim to utilize their experience in aerosol delivery. Our first product offering is a formulation of a well-known therapeutic that we feel will stand head and shoulders above the existing formulations." Dr. Noon is Chief of the Division of Transplant Surgery and Assist Devices in the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine and also Director, Transplant Executive Council for Transplant Services, Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas.

Alulim is targeting cancer, transplant rejection and asthma with its initial products. Their products are protected by international patents exclusive to the company. The company's first product is the well-known Cyclosporine A delivered via aerosolized liposomes. Alulim's unique formulation of this therapeutic is thought to be more easily tolerated by patients, and more easily administered by licensed healthcare professionals than similar formulations. Novel and new therapies to fight cancer include the company's flagship cancer fighting product αTEA, also delivered via an aerosol formulation.

Alulim has partnered with Hospital de Cancer de Barretos in Brasil to develop a reference center for aerosol delivery of cancer therapeutics. The Hospital de Cancer de Barretos provides treatment for over 400,000 patients a year. "We are very excited to establish an aerosol treatment reference center with Alulim. Alulim's experience with aerosol delivery will benefit our treatments for our population," said Dr. Edmundo Mauad, Technical Director of Hospital de Cancer de Barretos.
