Plaid Cymru's Shadow Health Minister Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM has welcomed the opening of the Children's Hospital in Wales.

Children have started arriving at the first Welsh hospital specially designed to treat young patients. The Children's Hospital for Wales is based at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. The Plaid Cymru - The Party of Wales AM said:

"I welcome the opening of the first Children's Hospital for Wales. I am glad I was able to play a small part, raising money for the initiative by a sponsored run from the National Assembly building in Cardiff Bay to the new site."
