ASRM is encouraging its members to transfer only one embryo, instead of two or three, to women undergoing IVF treatment who have "a good chance" of becoming pregnant. However, some reproductive health experts believe that a new policy "may be a tough sell" to fertility clinics and women, despite the increased risks of multiple births and research that that shows improved chances of success with single embryo transfer, according to the Times (Roan, Los Angeles Times, 4/4).
