Growing Number of 'Caesarean Kidnappings' - USA Today

USA Today on Friday examined how the number of "caesarean kidnappings" in the United States has increased in recent years as the number of kidnappings of newborns from hospitals has declined, according to Cathy Nahirny, a case analyst and support manager at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. However, this type of kidnapping still represents a "small fraction" of the 232 infant abductions by non-family members since 1983, according to NCMEC, USA Today reports (Willing, USA Today, 4/15).
