Just over a month left until the largest disability healthcare show hits the North West!
IIC Show is set to be the most comprehensive shopping and resource event on disability/mixed ability in the North of England. There is no other show on this scale in the area and the North West is completely untapped and presents a strong opportunity to support disabled people on this scale.
The show will be aimed at industry professionals, trade specialists and the 1.8 million disabled people in the North West along with their family and carers. The IIC Show will provide a platform on how to best support disabled people in living their everyday lives. The show consists of extensive shopping, resources and advice as well as many outstanding show features. From a professionals perspective there is a huge opportunity to benefit from FREE CPD seminars. The stages for these will be designated each to Occupational Therapists, Carers, Physiotherapists, Doctors, Nurses (varying grades), Education Professionals, Neurological professionals as well as a Key Note Theatre and Moving and Handling theatre by ETAC.
There will also be a drop-in open surgery covering the many varying neurological conditions which will allow both professionals and carers to find out more about the latest treatments and therapies that are out there. The IIC Show will also provide a range of support services for people with sensory impairments to continue living as independently as possible.
Given as this is the first show of the profile of what is set to be an annual show, the support received from partners has been outstanding and includes; Medical News Today, HCPC, COT, ACPIN, Neuro Support, ETAC R82 UK, The Walton Centre, SEN Magazine, Enable Magazine, Access Magazine, Manchester City Council, NHS North West, Carers Trust, Care Talk to name a few. With "Make a Wish Foundation" as a show partner, IIC Show is set to be THE disability healthcare show of 2014.
