The inaugural Medical Device Packaging Conference will take place April 28-29 in Alexandria, Virginia, offering packaging engineers an exclusive opportunity to obtain the most up-to-date information from some of the biggest names in the industry.

Conference topics such as regulatory guidelines, UDI requirements, sustainability and sterilization practices and creating easy-to-use packaging for the end user are scheduled and ample networking opportunities will be readily available. Sessions will be covered by distinguished presenters including Jay Crowley, formerly of the FDA and implementer of UDI, and Joyce Hansen, Vice President of Sterile Process Technology at Johnson & Johnson.

"This is a content-rich conference with an extremely diverse agenda," said Hansen. "Having academia, regulatory and industry professionals under one roof will surely take this event to another level, which is sometimes unusual in the packaging industry."

By request, the Medical Device Packaging Conference will offer a unique panel comprised of George Washington University nurses - the first people who handle packaged materials in their practice. Attendees will hear a first-hand account of end users' experiences with packaged materials and receive insight for creating a more user-friendly product.

The conference is sponsored by Lansmont, test and measurement solution provider to the world's leading technology companies, government laboratories and educational institutions.
