The IIC Show at Manchester Central did not disappoint the 7900 visitors that attended over the 2 day expo. The doors opened at 10 am on Friday 14th February to crowds and crowds of people all eager to enter and take advantage of the only disability healthcare expo of this scale in the North of England. The show consisted of a mixture of healthcare professionals, education professionals, disabled and end user visitors, trade visitors and families with relatives with mixed ability/disabilities.

The super-sized ability exhibition was set in over 10,000 sqm and hosted professional one to one sessions and workshops as well as 5 FREE CPD accredited seminar stages showcasing leading speakers to help build knowledge and provide credible information to healthcare and industry professionals.

Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Doctors, Nurses and Neurological specialists all took to the seminar stages with pen and paper eager to take advantage of the seminars provided by IIC Show. The ETAC Moving and Handling theatre, Professional Keynote Stage and SEN stage in particular were a great success on the day with attendees spilling out of the stages

Supporters and partners of the IIC Show all showcased their latest technologies and offered invaluable advice to all attendees whilst they tried and tested their products. Many exhibitors stated that IIC Show provided a good mix of elements allowing disabled people to not just shop and search for advice, but to also participate in the different areas of the show. This proved that IIC Show offered everything under the one roof for the 1.8 million disabled people in the North West. The Mobility Car Showroom also provided a huge selection of vehicles from Gowrings, Lewis Reed, TBC, BMW, Allied Mobility and Brooke Miller to name but a few.

The innovative features of IIC Show 2014 included an Adapted Sports Zone which included performances by Mark Palmer a Sports Development Manager from Greenbank Sports Academy who is also a Paralympic table tennis player. The Manchester FA showcased their inclusive football over the 2 days and proved to be a big hit among the visitors. There was also an exciting array of other activities for visitors to participate in and view such as demonstrations of blind cricket, tennis and boccia.
