Oxford Global Conferences were proud to present the 2nd Annual Next Generation Sequencing Data Congress in May in London, UK. Over two days this meeting brought together over 100 senior-level decision makers working at the forefront of the next generation sequencing data field in Europe and the US.

Held at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in London, Oxford Global's 2nd Annual Next Generation Sequencing Data Congress featured over 40 outstanding presentations and case studies, addressing the most pressing challenges in next generation sequencing data analysis including breakthrough technologies in RNA sequencing and transcriptomics data interpretation.

Consisting of five interactive streams, including NGS Data Analysis: Methods, Platforms And Technologies, NGS Data Handling, Storage & Management, And Collaborative Networking, and NGS Data Tools For Metagenomics, delegates were able to tailor the agenda to suit their topics of interest. By guaranteeing this level of autonomy, the event remained truly dynamic, ensuring a broad range of topics were covered. An attending Bioinformatician from Institut Curie commented, "I liked that there were different streams, meaning we could tailor the Congress to our interests. The topics were also very much of importance".

Alongside ensuring that streams were of interest to experts working within the next generation sequencing data field, our speakers were also guaranteed to be of the highest calibre. The Acting Head of Bioinformatics Core from the University of Turku reported,

"The best thing was definitely that all speakers were experienced in their field, making for an interesting run of presentations".

Our events also have a strong networking focus, ensuring the time schedule of the day allows for plenty of opportunity to meet delegates and solution providers alike, working in a similar field. The Sales Manager for Ingenuity-QIAGEN Informatics, an attending solution provider, stated, "There were long breaks to meet the attendees, and having the coffee and lunch breaks in the exhibition area meant there was plenty of opportunity to network".

The CTO for Healthcare, Life Sciences, HPC, EMC Isilon, another attending solution provider, also indicated that this had been an extremely useful Congress for his company, "The Congress was absolutely excellent. The organisation was great, there was an excellent audience and we now have a high number of leads from all over Europe".

Following the event, we analyse statistics and feedback we receive from attendees, and we are proud to announce that we achieved an 'Above Average' or 'Excellent' rating in the following categories:

  • the venue,
  • the overall organisation of the Congress,
  • the services of the Oxford Global staff,
  • the quality of attending delegates,
  • the format of the Congress

This is great news for everyone involved in the production of Oxford Global's 2nd Annual Next Generation Sequencing Data Congress.

After the success of this year's event, Oxford Global are pleased to announce that we will be hosting our 6th Annual Next Generation Sequencing Congress, co-located with the 2nd Annual Single Cell Analysis Congress, in London on 20th-21st November 2014.
