Tania Kincaid and her team, "Team Tania," plan to raise over $125,000 this year at the MS-150 City-to-Shore Tour put on by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Team Tania will pedal 150 miles from Cherry Hill, NJ to Ocean City, NJ and back again on September 24th and 25th. This is the fourth year that Tania will be cycling with her team; however, it is the seventh year for Team Tania. To date, the team has raised nearly $250,000. This year will mark the 25th Anniversary of the MS-150 City-to-Shore Tour.
Tania was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 1992. In 1999 she temporarily went blind due to her MS. That summer her husband's supervisor started the team with six people in Tania's name. Since then, the team has nearly doubled each year and has gained national attention. In 2005 they will have more than 150 cyclists on the team, which is sponsored by Valley Preferred. The entire event will draw nearly 6,000 other cyclists. The money raised directly assists those in the Delaware and Lehigh Valleys.
