The September-October 2005 issue of the journal Ground Water is devoted entirely to the subject of transboundary ground water, featuring 14 papers exploring the legal, political, economic, institutional and scientific aspects of transboundary ground water.

Published by the National Ground Water Association (NGWA), this is the first time a major journal has devoted an entire issue to the subject of transboundary ground water.

This special issue of Ground Water can be accessed online. Persons who are not members of NGWA can go to blackwell-synergy.com, and select Ground Water, vol. 43, no. 5. There will be instructions on payment in order to access the articles.

Members of the Association of Ground Water Scientists and Engineers, a division of NGWA, will receive a hard copy of the journal. They also have electronic access including downloadable PDF files of all papers through the Service Center on http://www.ngwa.org.

In one of this issue's articles, a group of Israeli, Palestinian and French scientists have proposed a possible management solution to ameliorate the water quality crisis depriving residents of drinkable water in the Gaza Strip. According to the researchers, the proposed management plan would provide a win-win situation for both Israelis and Palestinians, but requires cooperation between the two parties.
