Joni Rutter, Director of Programs and Strategic Implementation at the All of UsSM Research Program, will be presenting at Arrowhead Publishers' Neuroscience in Intensive Care International Symposium (NICIS) - America. Dr. Rutter will be providing attendees of NICIS - America with an overview of the program, the required data that is needed, data access and use processes to be expected, as well as potential research questions. For more information, visit: http://www.nicis.org. The focus of the 2017 Symposium is Precision Medicine for Neurocritical Care and Stroke.

Formerly known as the PMI Cohort Program, this program was implemented to build a national research cohort of at least one million U.S. participants, with the goal to advance precision medicine. By engaging a diverse group of participants who are willing to share lifestyle and genetic data via their electronic health records, this program will further researchers' ability to develop more precise treatments for many diseases and conditions. The data gathered will also be focused on increasing an individual's likelihood of remaining healthy throughout his or her life. By uniting multiple stakeholders and sectors to form collaborations across the field, the All of Us Program will drive knowledge to further precision medicine. The All of Us Program is expected to begin recruiting participants in 2017. For more information on the All of Us Program, visit: https://www.nih.gov/research-training/allofus-research-program.

Joni Rutter, Ph.D., leads the scientific, programmatic development and implementation efforts to build a national research cohort at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Rutter is internationally recognized for her work in human genetics and in the study of environmental risk factors in cancer and addiction.

Several thought leaders, including Joni Rutter, will provide attendees with the latest and most revolutionary discoveries in the field of critical neurological illness and injury. The vision of NICIS is to provide a forum that will promote transformative advances in the care and science of patients with critical neurological illness and injury. NICIS brings together clinicians and scientists who share a common interest in translating discoveries in the neurosciences into better patient-centered outcomes.
