Support in Congress is growing for H.R. 3559, the Hobson-Tanner bill. The bill would fix key problems in the "competitive bidding" (aka restrictive contracting) provisions of the Medicare Modernization Act including protections for both beneficiaries and small providers.
See details about the bill and the full cosponsor list under Advocacy Priorities on the front page of http://www.aahomecare.org. Please review the cosponsor list to see whether your Member of the House of Representatives has signed on yet. If he or she is not a cosponsor yet, please ask for their immediate support (see sample letter on the AAHomecare website). If they have signed on, a big thank you is in order.
