Premier Bionics (ASX: PBI) wholly-owned subsidiary, Medic Vision Pty Ltd ("Medic Vision") is pleased to announce the signing of a AUD$850,000 contract to supply computer-based surgical simulation and consulting services to the South West Hospital in Chongqing, China.
The South West Hospital is the largest hospital in the municipality treating approximately 1 million outpatients per year. The hospital is aiming to establish the skills training centre as a showcase facility in the Chinese market. Mr Ross Horley, CEO of Medic Vision commented "This is a significant and strategic step forward in our penetration into the rapidly growing Chinese market and is the first stage of a mutli stage project with the South West Hospital. The signing of the contract follows the Memorandum of Understanding that was signed with the hospital earlier this year. The provision of consultancy services and simulation products for medical and surgical skills training to this hospital represents one of a number of important opportunities the company is currently working on in the region. Medic Vision is delighted to be associated with this project and our appointment represents an important endorsement of our skills and expertise in this whole area of medical training employing virtual reality technology".
