Actavis U.S., the United States manufacturing and marketing division of the international generic pharmaceutical company Actavis Group (ICEX: ACT), received approval from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration to market Meloxicam Tablets. Shipment of the product will begin immediately.

Meloxicam Tablets, the generic equivalent of Boehringer Ingelheim's Mobic(R) Tablets, are available in both 7.5 mg and 15 mg strengths.
