....from April to September 2004

For the past 12 years, the University of Abertay Dundee has run a 1-year MSc Biotechnology course. A significant part of the course is a 5-month research project, undertaken by students between April and early September in the departments of various research institutes and companies throughout Scotland.

The students have first-degree backgrounds in a range of subject areas, including Pharmacy, Medicine, Microbiology, Biotechnology - as well as the practical/theoretical modules that we offer at the University.

They are available full-time from April to early September and the University provides Ł1000.00 lab bench fees as well as their maintenance stipend.

Interested potential supervisors should contact Dr Graham Wishart (details below) in the first instance.

Thereafter, a brief project descriptor can be made available to the students and the CVs of interested students passed on to the supervisors - who can then select students that they wish to interview.

Further information about the course and the project is contained in the document 'MSc Biotech project guide 2004'.
