Cleveland Clinic Physicians Hold Symposium On Prevention, Diagnostic, And Surgical Treatment Of Colorectal Cancer

Three Cleveland Clinic physicians will travel to Cancun, Mexico for the XXX Panamerican Congress of Gastroenterology, organized by the Mexican Association of Gastroenterology, to hold a symposium on prevention, diagnostic, and surgical treatment of colorectal cancer. The Congress, to be held November 12-15, 2006, at the Cancun Convention Center, will be attended by approximately 2500 gastroenterologists from around the world.
Topics for the Congress include obesity, gastrointestinal disease in elderly patients, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, amebiasis, and vaccination in hepatitis.
"This conference provides a means for gastroenterologists to share best practices while achieving a better understanding of ways to treat patients and prevent gastrointestinal diseases," said Bill Ruschhaupt, M.D., Chairman, Cleveland Clinic Global Patient Services. "It also provides a platform for Cleveland Clinic physicians to demonstrate their expertise and knowledge of colorectal cancer."
The "Symposium of the Cleveland Clinic: Update in Prevention, Diagnostic and Surgical Treatment of Colorectal Cancer" will be held on Tuesday, November 14, in the Costa Maya 1 Room. Following are the physicians, presentation topics and times:
