This year's clinical programme includes top speakers from the UK and overseas including Didier Dietschi of the University of Geneva discussing new perspectives in conservative aesthetic dentistry; Jack Ferracane of the Oregon Health and Science University providing a critical assessment of dental adhesives and dental composites; and Iain Chapple of the University of Birmingham looking at new developments in technology and the management of periodontal diseases.
Among the wealth of other subjects being tackled at the event will be sessions examining trends in consumer behaviour and dental health, asking whether marketing is degrading dentistry and investigating the work of forensic dentists.
