Noridian Administrative Services, the Jurisdiction D Medicare contractor, issued an update today regarding its efforts to reduce the staggering number of aged claims for homecare providers in Western and Midwestern states.

The backlog has been particularly hard on small homecare providers due to long delays in reimbursements for therapies and equipment delivered in 2006. The update reiterated some of the suggestions it issued in January.

The full update can be accessed here.
