The Discovery Channel has a new documentary, Living With Cancer, which takes an honest look at the reality of "Living With Cancer" from the perspective of patients, survivors, family, caretakers, and doctors.
In an effort to foster a more open dialogue about cancer, Living With Cancer highlights a series of frank conversations between Ted Koppel, the host of the program, and Lance Armstrong, Elizabeth Edwards, as well as Leroy Sievers, a longtime friend and a colleague of Koppel's. Living with terminal cancer, Sievers contributes regularly on NPR and posts daily about his experience on his blog, My Cancer. The documentary includes excerpts from the blog, as well as conversations with Sievers' doctors and other patients who are treated with him.

Communication With Family And Friends
posted by Toni Spalding on 6 May 2007 at 11:22 pmI would just like to take this opportunity to let everyone know that there is a free web site caringbridge.org where you, the cancer survivor can share what is going on in your life with family and friends one time. I know having to repeat updates to everyone is extremely tiring. My daughter is too tired and sick after her chemo but we all want to know she is ok-this can be stressful, especially all the phone calls to family so this site allowes a vehicle for communication to all at one time. Feel free to read my daughter Jennifer's story and others like her.
