Those wishing to register for free tickets for the exhibition-only element of the 2007 British Dental Conference and Exhibition have only two weeks to do so. Exhibition-only tickets are available free of charge to those booking on or before Thursday 17 May. After that date they will cost £25. Tickets for the exhibition and conference components of the event remain available for purchase up to and during the event, although the deadline for online bookings is midday on Wednesday 23 May.

The event, titled Dental dynamics: shaping your future, takes place from 24 - 26 May at the Harrogate International Centre, and will feature over 80 expert presenters and 127 exhibitors. More than 3,000 delegates are expected to attend.

The Conference and Exhibition takes place a year after fundamental changes to NHS dentistry and at a time of changing patterns in the way dental care in the UK is delivered. Headline speakers tackling the political issues include BDA Executive Board Chair Susie Sanderson and Chief Dental Officer for England Barry Cockcroft. Doug Richard, star of BBC Television series Dragon's Den, will give this year's keynote address on the theme of entrepreneurship.

This year's clinical programme includes top speakers from the UK and overseas including Didier Dietschi of the University of Geneva discussing new perspectives in conservative aesthetic dentistry; Jack Ferracane of the Oregon Health and Science University providing a critical assessment of dental adhesives and dental composites; and Iain Chapple of the University of Birmingham looking at new developments in technology and the management of periodontal diseases.
