The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine is hosting a weeklong, in-depth training course on Foreign Animal and Emerging Diseases from May 13-18, 2007 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The course, which is jointly sponsored with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, includes speakers with international expertise on foreign animal and emerging diseases.
The training course provides an excellent opportunity to enhance awareness of foreign animal and emerging diseases for veterinarians, veterinary technicians and extension agents. Other allied professionals who are responsible for foreign animal disease outbreak control/response will also find this training beneficial. Individuals in private practice, academia, industry and government are encouraged to attend. Registration space is limited. On-line registration is available at www.vet.utk.edu/cafsp. The fee for the course is $825 per person and includes meeting notebooks, multimedia CD and continental breakfast and lunch Monday-Thursday. The student rate is $450.
