A Medicare web site that is supposed to help people out has been found to have a load of inaccurate prices displayed. Complaints are coming in of prices either being too high, and in some cases too low. Many complain that a large number of the cards on offer are not mentioned.

You can find the web site at www.medicare.gov

The whole aim of this web site is to help people using the Medicare-approved drug discount card compare prices of drugs. Rather than help people, it is just going to confuse them, say experts.

When Medicare had gone out hunting for a company to manage this web site no bids were sought. The web site is managed by Destination Rx, a company from California.

Experts are saying the information on the web site is inaccurate, confusing and hard to get. They are advising seniors to hold back from getting their cards for the moment, as the information they will get on them will be confusing.
