The following statistics were released by the Department of Health:
- Diagnostics waiting times & activity data: month ending July 2007
- Diagnostic waiting times, census of all diagnostic tests: quarter ending June 2007
- Imaging and Radiodiagnostics: 2006-07
Monthly waiting and activity data show the NHS' progress in tackling the waiting times for diagnostic tests like scans. The monthly data published gives the waiting times for 15 key diagnostic tests carried out in the NHS. In addition, the quarterly census identifies all diagnostic waits over 6 weeks and over 13 weeks. This data will help the NHS in delivering the new 18 week maximum wait from GP to treatment, including all diagnostic tests, by the end of 2008. More information, including a diagnostic data Q&A, is available via the 18 week website.
Annual data show numbers of imaging and radiodiagnostics examinations or tests.
