The medical landscape of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery is evolving. The demand for more inventive, less invasive procedures for the face and all areas of the body continues to increase. To keep up with the evolution, the hottest topics, technologies, and advances will be presented at Plastic Surgery 2007. The meeting, held Oct. 26-31 at the Baltimore Convention Center, will be attended by more than 6,000 doctors, medical personnel and exhibitors in the field of plastic surgery.

"This year's meeting will offer new topics and sessions unlike any presented before and will address innovations in plastic surgery," said ASPS President Roxanne Guy, MD. "There is increasing consumer demand for non- and minimally-invasive procedures not only for the face, but for all areas of the body. The world's top plastic surgeons will assemble to discuss the safety and effectiveness of emerging treatments such as non-invasive fat-melting procedures and quality-of-life-enhancing peripheral nerve surgeries that will allow amputees to better move prosthetics."

William C. Taylor, co-founder and founding editor of Fast Company magazine and author of the best-selling book Mavericks at Work - Why the Most Original Minds in Business Win, will be the keynote speaker on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 4:15 p.m., during Opening Ceremonies at the Baltimore Convention Center. Taylor, who is an expert on leadership, strategy, and the changing logic of global competition, will lead a panel discussion with industry thought leaders and present his philosophy on change and re-invention. Opening Ceremonies will also feature the annual Patients of Courage: Triumph Over Adversity awards honoring inspirational reconstructive plastic surgery patients for their courage and altruism.

The Exhibit Hall will showcase approximately 350 companies, featuring plastic surgery products and devices including the newest breast implants, injectable wrinkle fighters, and body contouring technologies. This array of exhibitors will bring plastic surgeons up-to-date on cutting-edge products and technologies to better care for patients.
