The Royal Society of Medicine has recently published a must-have book for students and qualified practitioners requiring detailed anatomical knowledge.
Written by Dr Kurt Albertine, who has taught gross anatomy for more than 30 years and is currently a Professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine, The Anatomy Student's Self-test Colouring Book is a unique book that makes learning the parts and systems of the human body a lot easier.
The book contains more than 350 digitally-created line illustrations of the human body that readers are encouraged to colour in. The task of colouring the illustrations, educationalists claim, helps unlock the bridge between both sides of the brain, allowing greater recall in the future.
To aid in the learning process, the book has a set of eight transparent sheets to lay over the illustrations of the human body. Readers can remove sheets to reveal different parts of the body, such as the muscles and bones, to gain an understanding of where the features are in relation to each other.
Unlike existing books of its kind, The Anatomy Student's Self-test Colouring Book is written for undergraduates and beyond, so whether the reader is still at university or practising as a consultant, the challenging content will ensure it is a must-have.
RSM Press is the publishing arm of The Royal Society of Medicine, an independent charity that promotes the exchange of knowledge, information and ideas in medical science and continued improvement in human health. RSM Press publishes books and journals for medical and allied healthcare professionals.
