Only A SMALL Part Of The Epidemic

posted by Anon on 7 Nov 2007 at 8:24 pm

This is only a SMALL part of the epidemic caused by irresponsible behaviors within the sex trade, as this article focuses on destitute female prostitutes. This story caught my eye because I know of several travelling male hookers who frequent Baltimore, and they WILL engage in unprotected receptive anal intercourse. These paid "escorts" masquerade as travelling "massage therapists"--which are no more than glorified prostitutes--and their scope of sales is international.

I found out because I know of HIV+ men in the South who frequent these same male "escort" services; I'd intercepted correspondences from one HIV+ Pediatrician in Greensboro, North Carolina requesting unprotected anal intercourse (from prostitutes with business operations that include Baltimore.) This doctor maintains that he is not HIV+, but I know differently: he was my partner until I found out what he was doing! And to this day, he maintains that he is NOT HIV positive which is a lie because he infected me.

What disturbs me the most is the the CDC is not interested in actually doing anything beyond lip service to stop the spread of HIV; they are not interested beyond what appears more and more each day towards serving a political agenda first and foremost ... and that means that the overall public health is expendible. I recently joined a private gay HIV Watch; it appears that vigilante activism is the only recourse. I had no idea how widespread the sex trade was until the truth was uncovered. Any authors out there? Could be an explosive expose.
