RCN Respond To NHS Employers Evidence To The NHS Pay Review Body, UK

In response to the NHS Employers' submission of evidence to the NHS Pay Review Body (NHSPRB), Dr. Peter Carter, General Secretary of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), said:

"If NHS Employers really think that pay isn't an issue for NHS staff, then they are sorely mistaken. Nurses were brought to the brink of industrial action earlier this year by a paltry government pay offer that failed to recognise the hard work that nurses put in, day in day out. On returning to this issue, Ministers should bear in mind that nurses will not stomach another below inflation pay deal".
