As part of the preparations for Brain Injury Awareness Week 2008, Headway has commissioned a survey to explore the life experiences of people since suffering brain injury.
The survey, which has been prepared in conjunction with the clinical neuropsychology team at the University of Exeter, aims to uncover what people with brain injuries really think and feel, from how they feel about their brain injury to how they are treated by society. It will also look at personal relationships and how they may have changed since the brain injury.
The results of the survey will enable Headway to raise the general public's awareness of the challenges people with brain injuries face in their everyday lives, as well as highlighting the social prejudices they have to endure.
This is the perfect opportunity for people with brain injuries to have their say. If you or someone you know has a brain injury and would like to help Headway raise awareness of brain injury, please complete the survey. Your views count and we want to help your voice to be heard.
A copy of the questionnaire has been inserted into the Winter 2007 edition of Headway News. If you prefer, you can also complete the survey online by clicking the link at the bottom of this page. The deadline for completion of the survey is 21 January 2008. The results will be released as part of next year's Brain Injury Awareness Week campaign, which will run from 31 March to 6 April 2008.
