Marilyn Moon, vice president and director of the Health Program at the American Institutes for Research, who was the Medicare Rights Center's board president from 2005 through 2007, said, "Dr. Vladeck will help the Medicare Rights Center continue to build its stature in defending, improving and expanding Medicare in the years ahead."

After serving in the Clinton Administration, Dr. Vladeck was professor of health policy and geriatrics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
