The Nerveana Nerve Location System is a compact, state-of-the-art, electronics-based surgical system. It locates the nerve before the nerve is visualized and provides an audio alarm without interrupting the operation's flow. Unlike traditional nerve monitoring, the Nerveana informs the surgeon before, not after, each dissection. It can be used to locate any peripheral motor nerve. It is currently in use in thyroidectomies, parathyroidectomies, parotidectomies, and other head and neck procedures.

Now, instead of confusing, difficult-to-interpret, and often contradictory "signals, noise," and false alarms," the Nerveana provides clear, precise, real time feedback to the surgeon in order to locate the nerve and avoid injury. There is no time-wasting delay switching back and forth between surgery and monitoring.

The Nerveana places control in the surgeon's hands. Immediately intuitive in use, it integrates seamlessly into the surgeon's technique using a stimulating dissector. (Any surgeon-preferred surgical instrument can be made into a stimulating instrument by Neurovision.) The Nerveana provides an audio alarm and also, if selected, simultaneous audio EMG. There is even the option to view EMG waveform on a PC or laptop (via USB port provided).

Nerve monitoring systems are substantially more expensive (by multiples) than the Nerveana. And Nerveana disposables are also dramatically less expensive and reduce inventory costs.

The Nerveana

- Is surgeon friendly, intuitive in use
- Improves reliability
- Simplifies procedures (requires no technique change)
- Lowers surgeon stress (facilitates nerve detection, no need for monitoring personnel and other distractions)
- Reduces operating time
- Is significantly less expensive than alternatives.

The Nerveana is the result of thirty years of R&D and a history of related, continual advances in nerve location technology by Neurovision Medical Products. The Nerveana is currently used by general surgeons, neurosurgeons, endocrine surgeons and ENTs in all types of surgical facilities, from surgery centers to large hospitals.
