Asthma UK has 300 guaranteed places available for the GNR, which is taking place on Sunday 26 September 2004. The course runs from the Newcastle Tyne Bridge to South Shields, with plenty of spectacular views to help take your mind off your blisters.
The official ballot for this half-marathon has already closed so competition for these guaranteed places is getting intense. Run for Asthma UK and you'll receive tips from our fundraising experts on the best ways to raise your sponsorship money (minimum Ł250 with a Ł35 registration fee) and how to get in shape for the event, plus we will support you - loudly and enthusiastically - on the day.
Steve Grogan, Asthma UK Events Officer, is not only organising the charity's GNR team this year, but also taking part: 'It's a great atmosphere, a great race and a fantastic chance to raise funds for vital research into the causes of asthma.'
If you think you're up to the challenge, and you want to run for Asthma UK, call Steve on 020 7704 5858 or email running@asthma.org.uk.
