Giuliani Should Have Promoted His Support For Abortion Rights, Opinion Piece Says

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani might be "faring better" in his run for the Republican presidential nomination if he had promoted himself "as the only supporter of abortion rights in the Republican primary," San Francisco Chronicle columnist Debra Saunders writes in an opinion piece.
Although a recent Associated Press poll found only one-third of Republicans believe abortion should be legal, some abortion-rights opponents one year ago "respected the fact that Giuliani didn't flip-flop on abortion," Saunders writes. Voters "also cared about electability" and "realized that they'd be better off with a president who ... at least would support parental notification laws and would not appoint liberal judges," she adds.
Giuliani's "failure to play up his support for abortion rights" made Republicans who support such rights reluctant to vote for him, Saunders writes, adding that his initial appeal is that voters saw "him as the man you wanted with you if your back is to the wall," but "[a]fter a year of soft-pedaling his abortion position, he doesn't look so strong" (Saunders, San Francisco Chronicle, 1/29).

Abortion Against God, But In Future Could Help God
posted by Rev. James Dixon on 2 Feb 2008 at 1:53 pmI am completely against abortion. It is murder. As a cleric I abhor it.
However, science is advancing and we will soon be able to predict behavior according to genetic markers. If genetic tests found a high risk for non-Christian traits, such as atheism, and a tendency to go against the church and Jesus Christ, then abortion would be a blessing.
As Satan makes inroads into the human spirit, we have to use everything in our power, both spiritually, technically and scientifically, to purify the human race in the eyes of The Lord. If we stand by and do nothing, Man will become so infected with evil that his existence will become meaningless and totally sinful.
God Bless America!!
You are Nuts
posted by anonynous on 3 Feb 2008 at 1:40 pmFor a man of god to have the view that you have the right to choose who is good and who is bad is absolute loonacy and then to take away a life because you can scientifically predict that this individual is bad?
Do you not believe in the submission of one's self to god and christ and that if a person is to sin then god will punish not some prick in a lab who never gave you a chance to choose what is right or wrong
Atheism And Satan
posted by Julia Ericksson on 3 Feb 2008 at 4:11 pmIf abortion were only used to purify Christianity, I would be for it. The world is becoming infected with sin, fornication and blasphemy.
One thing is to murder - abortion. Another is to fight Satan. Find an atheism gene and kill it, find a god-fearing gene and protect it.
