SonoSite, Inc., (Nasdaq:SONO), the world leader in point-of-care, hand-carried ultrasound, announced the new M-OB/GYN Office™ ultrasound tool specifically customized for the physician's office. The company plans to begin customer shipments this month.

Based on SonoSite's fourth generation M-Turbo™ platform, the M-OB/GYN Office system delivers an exponential increase in processing power and superior image clarity for obstetrical and gynecological imaging, plus seamless connectivity for digital image export in a rugged, easy to use form factor. It is backed by SonoSite's 5-year warranty, which comes standard with purchase.

"The M-OB/GYN Office product is customized for the clinical needs of OB/Gyn specialists," said Thomas J. Dugan, Senior Vice President, US Sales and Marketing. "It combines the high performance of cart-based systems with the small footprint, speed, flexibility and durability that SonoSite's hand-carried ultrasound systems are known for."

Each M-OB/GYN Office tool comes complete with two transducers - the C60x/5-2 MHz curved array transducer for abdominal scanning and the ICTx/8-5 MHz intracavitary curved array transducer for pelvic imaging. A specialized software package includes Tissue Harmonic Imaging, color Doppler and advanced OB calculations.

Formally introduced in October 2007 at medical meetings and congresses, physicians have enthusiastically responded to the following features of SonoSite's M-Turbo platform:

- Outstanding Image Quality - The M-Turbo system's advanced processing power is 16x more powerful than its industry leading MicroMaxx® system, and utilizes the new, advanced SonoADAPT™, SonoHD™, and SonoMB™ technologies for dramatic improvements in image quality;

- State-of-the-Art Connectivity - SonoSite engineers worked with Texas Instruments to integrate its DaVinci™ technology and Microsoft to integrate its Windows Embedded CE 6.0 operating system for seamless data transfer and connectivity. Clinicians can export images easily from the new products to a USB storage device in standard PC formats - MPEG4 (H.264), JPEG, HTML and BMP " for review or storage on PC or Mac® computers;

- Designed for Point-of-Care Demands - Like SonoSite's earlier products, the M-Turbo system and its transducers are designed to withstand a 3-foot drop onto a hard surface, have sealed surfaces that can be wiped down with disinfectant and a system boot-up within seconds of a cold start; and

- Landmark Warranty - The M-Turbo products and transducers carry the same, unprecedented 5-year warranty that SonoSite introduced with the launch of the MicroMaxx system in 2005.
