MedTouch, a leading provider of interactive, web-based solutions for health care organizations, announced the launch of a new online presence for the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands (RHCI). As part of an overall rebranding effort at RHCI, this initiative included a full redesign of RHCI's web site (http://www.rhci.org), implementation of MedTouch's proprietary content management system, and an ongoing search engine marketing and optimization campaign.

"RHCI plays a unique role in the healthcare landscape of Southeastern Massachusetts, and this effort ensures them a web site representing the high level of expertise available to the community they serve," said Paul Griffiths, CEO of MedTouch. "In addition to being attractive and functional, this new site - and our subsequent search marketing work - will improve patient access to information and realigns RHCI's online presence with the organization's larger strategic goals."

MedTouch's content management system, ContentBridge, provides RHCI with an all-inclusive, safe and powerful workflow process for assigning, reviewing, editing and publishing pages that also eliminates the need for RHCI to purchase any additional software. The strategic search engine marketing and optimization effort allows MedTouch to ensure RHCI does not miss opportunities to drive high quality traffic to their web site, improve organizational ROI, and prove to senior level management that the web is an increasingly powerful marketing tool.

"We reached our goal of transforming the RHCI web site into a consumer friendly online resource and an efficient relationship building tool for the hospital," said Carole Stasiowski, Director of Community Relations and Marketing at RHCI. "Our new site provides the public with valuable online information about RHCI's expertise in key neurologic, orthopedic and pediatric rehabilitation services. It also gives consumers tools to help them make informed health care choices and offers an inside look into the experience of actual patients. We wanted to do something dramatic to engage the public with the hospital via our web site, and it was clear that MedTouch's energy, insight and strategic thinking made them the right partner."

RHCI is a 60-bed, acute rehabilitation hospital in Sandwich, MA. It is affiliated with Massachusetts General, Brigham and Women's, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospitals, and is a member of Partners HealthCare System, Inc. RHCI provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation care to residents of the Cape, Islands, South Shore and South Coast regions.
