posted by Marek Kacki MD on 04 Nov 2009 at 11:48 amThe addition of Lidocaine to dermal fillers has been used in Europe and South America for years. Less and less, however, since the major makers of fillers have them pre-mixed with Lidocaine.
I have been adding Lidocaine to all fillers for the last two years; it's off label but benefits patients greatly.
And yes, in selected patients, it works on lips as well without the need for a block.
