Subliminal Advertising And Negative Interpretation

It seems likely to be biologically advantageous to assume negativity when unsure than positivity. You might miss out on food, but then you might miss out on being killed!
Or better to react with fear to a harmless stick than to risk stepping on a funnel web spider (deadly!).
I would suggest that the experiment be repeated using nothing BUT apparently neutral words and then asses he rates of different responses.
