Ambien is addictive and dangerous!

posted by Jenanne on 05 May 2006 at 1:55 pm

Wow, where do I start. I had been taking Ambien since 2000 and until my entrance into a rehab in November 2005 I denied having a problem. Oh my Gosh, I did have a problem! My husband videotaped me numerous times because I would take my ambien, in bed, but 30 minutes later I want to cook an entire 8 course meal. I would usually drop my head and fall asleep right in the middle of frying chicken or something. My husband was petrified I was going to burn the house down or kill myself by accident. I would have an urge to suddenly eat potato chips and ice cream or weird things like that. I even decided to cut my dogs hair - with scissors - and cut his skin all over. I felt so bad. Telephone calls??? I was always scared to find out what I said the night before. Ambien is bad bad bad!!!

I don't know the science of how this medication works but wow it does some weird stuff , same things falling asleep standing up , no memory , but its most bizare that you feel fine while its going on !! and if you do happen to fall asleep it is a unconscious type sleep , my husband has come home to find the alarm going off and the phone right by my head that has rang 8-9 times
