Gerber organic rice and oatmeal cereals have been recalled because they may clump together and be a potential choking risk, said the Gerber Products Company. According to the company, reports have come in of babies choking, but no injuries.

The problem, says the company, is that small quantities of rice or oatmeal might not dissolve in water or milk, and remain as lumps. The products in question are marketed in the USA, Puerto Rico and some parts of the Caribbean.

Products, presented in 8-ounce boxes with the following UPC codes are being recalled:
— organic rice cereal: 15000 12504
— organic oatmeal cereal: 15000 12502

Purchasers may call the following telephone numbers to return their product(s) and get a full refund:

You can see these numbers on the bottom-right-side of the box.

The FDA is aware of this product recall. No other Gerber products are involved in this recall.
