The National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) will offer education sessions by the country's leading experts and honor the extraordinary work of pediatric nurses at its 30th Annual Conference on Pediatric Health Care to be held March 19-22, 2009, at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego, CA.

Over 1,300 health care providers are expected to attend the event, which is considered the landmark annual conference for Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNPs) and others who care for pediatric patients.

"The response to the program has been outstanding," NAPNAP President Linda Lindeke, PhD, RN, CPNP, said. "We understand nurses' economic concerns these days, so we have packed the conference with as much education value as possible. The speakers are tuned in to pediatric nurses' needs and are presenting the most crucial issues and innovations."

The conference is designed for pediatric health care providers at all levels who work in primary, acute care and other specialties, as well as those working in schools and community settings. Participants may choose from sessions in the following tracks: Immunization, Nutrition/Fitness, Emerging Science, Professional Issues, Pharmacology, and Acute Care.

Attendees will earn continuing education contact hours, attend special events, and network with colleagues. They will also meet with representatives from leading pharmaceutical and consumer products companies, as well as nonprofit institutions, in NAPNAP's dynamic exhibit hall.

Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNPs) are health care providers dedicated to serving well and ill children of all ages. PNPs have advanced education and care for children and families in an extensive range of practice settings. As highly-trained respected professionals, PNPs have worked with pediatricians and other health care providers to enhance children's health for over 40 years.
