25 years after the term EBM was coined, it is time to consider limits and criticisms related to the generation of evidence and its translation to individual and population levels, more than to EBM movement itself. To address this challenge, the 8th EBHC International Conference hosted by GIMBE Foundation will focus on evidence ecosystem to connect generation, synthesis and translation of evidence, analyzing limitations and suggesting solutions.

Built on 7 previous highly successful meetings, the Conference is an excellent opportunity to network with worldwide EBHC leaders in the wonderful frame of Taormina, the pearl of the Mediterranean Sea. An amazing panel of speakers is already confirmed: John Ioannidis (Stanford University), Gordon Guyatt (Mcmaster University), Paul Glasziou (Bond University), Doug Altman (University of Oxford), Howard Bauchner (JAMA), Trisha Greenhalgh (University of Oxford), Amir Qaseem (ACP), David Tovey (Cochrane), Sharon Straus (University of Toronto), Angela Coulter (University of Oxford), Holger Schünemann (McMaster University), Trish Groves (The BMJ), Amanda Burls (University of Oxford), Per Olav Vandvik (University of Oslo), Walter Ricciardi (NIH Italy), Nino Cartabellotta (GIMBE Foundation).

The 3-day program will include keynote lectures, selected oral presentations, poster displays and interactive workshops to encourage discussion and the development of new ideas. Delegates of all health professions and disciplines are expected to attend from all 5 continents: participants will include professional societies, health researchers, clinicians, decision‐makers, managers and students.
