Medical News Today's standard homepage shows the latest news in the world of health. We now publish up to 170 medical and health news articles every day covering hundreds of medical conditions across over 157 different therapeutic areas.
We realise that you may not be interested in reading all of this news and that you may only be interested in specific areas of health.
Creating a homepage displaying only the news that's of interest to you is quick and easy. Personalization lets you choose the news categories you want and then automatically adapts your homepage to show only news from these categories. An additional menu item also appears at the top of your left navigation bar containing quick links to the news archives of your chosen categories.
Example 1: if you are interested only in articles related to Genetics, Stem Cells, Biology
then only articles related to these subjects will appear on your homepage.
Example 2: if you are interested only in articles related to ADHD, Bipolar, Depression, Dyslexia, Mental Health then only articles related to these subjects will appear on your homepage.
You can add or remove categories at any time by simply dragging and dropping categories from one side of the page to the other - it's that simple.
There are three ways you can view news on your homepage when using homepage personalization:
1) Separated Layout
This layout shows the latest 5 headlines from your chosen categories, split into separate page sections. The news within each category is ordered by date, with the newest articles appearing at the top.
2) Combined Layout
This layout shows news from your chosen categories in one long list, ordered by date with the newest articles appearing at the top.
3) Original Layout
This view displays news from all categories. The list is ordered by date, with the newest published articles appearing at the top of the list. This is the default view that appears if you haven't used the personalized homepage before or if you have logged out of your account.
