An innovative article-based navigation iPad app created by the world's leading independent general medical journal - The Lancet App is now available on the App Store. The Lancet App is designed to help healthcare professionals (HCPs) find information they need quickly and efficiently on their iPad.

Scott Virkler, SVP e-Products Global Medical Research, Elsevier Health Sciences said:

"In this new mobile and tablet age, you have to think about how a doctor seeks and uses the information they need. iPad gave us the opportunity to rewrite the files according to the needs of our readers and provide them a convenient solution. With this article-based navigation app, we've created an entirely new model that responds to our readers' need to get to the articles they want, when they want."


The new app provides subscribers with access to the most recent reports published in The Lancet, The Lancet Neurology, The Lancet Infectious Diseases as well as The Lancet Oncology.

Features of the App: The new app is just one of several apps Elsevier is developing for healthcare professionals. Virkler explains:

"We have an extensive, robust mobile app development program. Healthcare professionals are on the leading edge of this exciting new publishing medium."


The Lancet App is available for free from the App Store on iPad or here. Selected content is available for all viewers. Subscribers to The Lancet have access to all published content.
