Patient Reviews
Jul 05, 2019
Amanda Porter was my nurse practitioner whose role was to evaluate and manage my medications. She is only the second person in my whole life who I had so much respect for it was on a whole new level . The kind of respect where all you want to do is keep your word and be completely transparent and do everything you can not to let her down. She listened to me. And not in a way where they just hear your words and respond accordingly but she truly listened to every word I had to say and somehow saw between the lines of things I was hesitant to say or even ashamed of, things I was afraid to say because of potential judgment. Things I would never say to someone I wanted to like me. And she took in every word and validated my every thought. Not necessarily agreed, but just made me feel heard. Like I was making sense. Like she completely understood my pain and suffering and like I was allowed to feel that way. She was empathetic and made me feel safe for the first time in my life.
