How likely are you to recommend Dr. Matrka?
I saw Dr. Matrka recently for a long-standing (almost 2 years old) problem that has escaped a definitive diagnosis by a pile of other docs who preceded her. All of those other docs were Fellowship Boarded (the highest level of training & expertise) - while Dr. Matrka is still in her Residency training. Some of those prior docs practice (and also teach) in a well-known and very good University Medical School. Long story short: All the other docs I've seen came up empty on a definitive diagnosis after 18 months of trying (and after taking numerous "educated guesses" at what my problem is) but Dr. Matrka nailed it definitively on her first attempt - during my first visit to Mayo. Her diagnosis was confirmed (100%) by her attending (and supervising) physician, Dr. Paul Huddleston - who is also fantastic. I was impressed, to say the least! Dr. Matrka is GREAT - and her communication skills are excellent as well. I would highly recommend her to anyone with a skeletal or orthopedic problem.
