Dr. Dowdell-Smith has been seeing my son for 20 months now. Let me start by saying when we came to her we were terrified, didn't know what was going on with my son, and desperate! At the 1st visit she instantly gained mine & my sons trust! Her gentle touch and patience with my son helped him relax and always be comfortable at every appt! She quickly had an MRI w/ contrast and sleep/awake study done and diagnosed him. It's been a tough road with him tolerating seizure meds and she has never given up! She always responds quickly on My Chart if I have ANY questions. Her assistant Mandy is also amazing! They make a great team and my son actually gets excited before visits to see them! I cannot say enough good things about Dr Dowdell-Smith and Ms Mandy! I feel like they have become family! The only issue I have ever had at this practice is scheduling isn't fun at all! There is never afternoon appts available which is hard for our family, but I've delt with it bc Dr Dowdell is worth it!
