I was able to make my first appointment quickly. I was able to have my X-rays just prior to my appointment with Dr Andersen in the same office. I didn’t have to wait to see him. He was very thorough, listened to my concerns, we came up with a couple solutions, and had my first injection the same day. It was noted that my X-ray showed bone on bone in my right knee. I was given options of how to proceed. After I had the injection, I felt a lot better in a couple of days. I was advised that I would more than likely need a knee replacement due to its current condition and from prior injury. He said I could have an MRI and see exactly what is happening, then proceed with surgery. Or, I could try injections, physical therapy, and return for future injections to avoid surgery if that was what I wanted. I felt great for a couple months. I am now hurting again and emailed Dr Andersen asking about any other treatments other than surgery. We are going with gel injections. Praying it works!
