Dr. Diaz is an amazing surgeon. He’s really good at what he does. I’m 4 weeks post-op and I feel like it has been an absolute breeze healing, and my scar is already looking fantastic. I’m giving 4 stars because he is so good at what he does, that he doesn’t really listen to the patient experience. I tried to explain some symptoms I have had and he brushed them off without acknowledging that it could have been a temporary result of the surgery. He was even quite dismissive of these concerns. My follow up provider confirmed that my symptoms were common side effects of this surgery, so I am not sure why Dr Diaz responded the way he did when I met with him. In terms of the actual surgery, I would 100% recommend Dr Diaz. I would just advise getting follow up care elsewhere.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
