I am 65 years old not one to leave many reviews but my experience with Dr Melgar was so outstanding I wanted to share my story for anyone that may find themself in a similar situation.About a year ago I began to have extreme lower back pain and weakness in my legs and went to my MD who diagnosed me with arthritis. After physical therapy and cortisone shots failed, I was referred to Dr Melgar.Dr. Melgar who after taking and reviewing MRIs said major issue was severe spinal stenosis between my L3 and L4 vertebrae, which is a pinching of the spinal cord and only surgery would be able to correct. The surgery he recommended was called a laminectomy which is placement of what is called a cage around pinched area of the spiral cord, he said outcomes for total recovery this procedure was 75% plus.I was very anxious about the surgery as I have never had any but was in such pain I really didn't have much choice as my next stop was going to be a wheelchair, so I rolled the dice and had surg
