I was referred to Dr. Loftus to be my surgeon to remove an seriously infected peripheral nerve stimulater. He took excellent care of me! Got me on his schedule right away, and prescribed some highly effective antibiotics. He explained why it was imperative that the metal had to come out to prevent ongoing infection. His mannerisms were very comforting and he was so supportive with his communication and willingness to make sure I understood the whys and hows. Then he carefully removed the stimulator, so very meticulously making sure all the tiny wire pieces were extracted, leaving no metal behind. He also had to remove some tissue tissue that was affected by the infection, resulting in cellulitis. His physician assistant, James Parker, removed my stitches and made sure I understood everything including the lab report about the culture of my infection. He made sure that all three incisions were cared for properly so the healing would be complete. Love this group. You can TRUST them!
