Patient Reviews
Apr 08, 2024
Nine years ago I met Dr Schuler for the 1st time after meeting with multiple other spine surgeons within a 3 mo. period. My debilitating condition hit sub acutely after having an arthroscopic hip surgery to correct an inverted labrum. Due to restrictions in hip extension, my SI joint became stuck. During the recovery from hip surgery, I experienced a rotational instability that created a domino effect, resulting in the herniation of multiple discs. I had been to two different PT practices as well as a chiropractor, all of whom were either unable to identify the problem or unable to re-align my SI joint. In June 2015, Dr. Schuler successfully performed the L4 through S1 fusion and realigned my SI joint. The most significant function that was recovered was my walking endurance, which had become greatly compromised. One mo. post-op I developed a complication due to a startle and twist, which Dr Schuler took care of 7 mo. later. VSI has by far the best work-ups & VTFC has the best PT.
